My soph year in HS, 2 friends of mine (Srs) skipped school one day. Coincidentally, right around lunch, we had a bomb threat that kept everyone out of the building for half an hour or so. (Lunches were on different schedules -- 4, if I remember right). Anyway, several of us were outside in the parking lot just hanging out when my 2 buddies showed up. The thought BRIEFLY occurred to me that they might be responsible but we didn't explore the situation very far (to say not at all). What we DID do was send them to Wendys to pick us up a burger and fries. The problem was, the next period was starting soon. Myself and another buddy had a computer class together and we told one of the school skippers to bring our food there.
Well, we did the Jeff Spicolli thing ("who ordered the one with cheese and one with mayo?") and, of course, the teacher wasn't too happy. He kicked us out, so we ate right outside the classroom in an outside area with a bench -- in FULL view of everyone inside!!
So fast forward to Jan of this year and myself, the buddy in class with me, and one of the skippers meet up (we've kept in touch). I finally asked the skipper -- did you guys call in the bomb threat that day? He remembered what I was talking about and say, no, they didn't. I believe him -- I don't think those guys would risk that kind of trouble even back then (83-ish). But I did tell him that I've accused him of that all these years. We got a good laugh about it!
