4.3% unemployment
that is regarded as basically full employment
with fewer GOVERNMENT jobs- and more private sector jobs being created!
Damn near 15 % of the work age population is unemployable

I dont believe any of these reports, no matter who is putting it out. its all a game to them and we suffer.
Everyone plays the same game.
Layoffs every day and people celebrating about some rosy jobs report??
We need to open our eyes and not blindly believe these institutions.
Why not celebrate rosy jobs report? Just because the job situaion in your career field isn't where you want it to be, doesn't mean other areas are good.
If you have numbers that differ from the rosy jobs report, post them. But be sure the source isn't some institution you blindly believe.

How many times do we need this rug pull to happen before we stop trusting this damn report? This has happened far too many times for y'all to have not picked up on it yet. Report comes out with big numbers backed by fuzzy estimations and incomplete data. Months later the revision comes out and show it was all a mirage. Rinse and repeat.
I also want to see where all these supposed jobs are going. So far, for the last few years, all we've seen grow is the healthcare industry as the Boomers retire and start hiring in home nurses. Those manufacturing jobs that were supposed to come flooding back? Nowhere to be seen.
You know, you can't just start manufacturing things overnight. You have to acquire or build the space, equipment, etc.

If that's the case, why isn't construction blowing up? Or are you telling me it's taking almost a year and a half into Trump's 2nd term to get the land deals signed off?

Also, the tax incentives / breaks for Cap Ex expenditures kicked in Jan 1 2026 so activity is just now ramping up.
And as others mention, these things still have to find / acquire the dirt, design, contract, permit, then build. Hiring really is only impactful during "build".
