My, how times have changed.

48 years ago today, ABC aired a live broadcast gala celebration titled The Stars Salute Israel at 30.

The ballerinas Galina and Valery Panov danced to the music of Star Wars by John Williams. The show concluded with Barbra Streisand accompanied by Zubin Mehta and the Los Angeles Philharmonic. Streisand performed "Tomorrow", "People" and "Happy Days Are Here Again". She then had a conversation via video link with the former Israeli Prime Minister Golda Meir.

One week ago I watched Spamalot in Fort Worth. There was a bit toward the end that makes the joke that any respectable military needs at least one Jew, with names beginning with Bette Midler and ending with George Santos.

Where there should have been roaring laughter there was muted giggles and uncomfortable fidgets as people consider whether they can laugh or should shake their head in displeasure.

Dems and their identity politics seek to ruin EVERYTHING, including Monty Python.

The point of digging up the old prime time live broadcast special was to contrast the rabid anti-Israeli sentiment in Hollywood today with the enthusiastic support for Israel 40 years ago. Anyone attending such an event today would never work in Hollywood again.

The irony is that Hollywood and entertainment in general is so disproportionately represented by Jewish people that it would make a laughing stock of the gerrymandering discussions. That said, most of them are only Jewish when it is convenient to be so.

It's on the rise because if you don't agree with Isreal you are automatically an antisemite. Because 80% of congress is bought by Aipac it makes the normal people question what's going on. Because our us Ambassador to Isreal told us the idf was more humane and better then the American soldier.

we actually used to have patriots in Hollywood.

with an all star cast from the late 1950s.
