Many years ago, when I was in the military, I traIned attack and narcotics dogs. I was involved in crowd control a couple of times and numerous one on one bad guy type encounters. In dog school at Lackland AFB we had leather "wraps" on our arms when we"caught" dogs. With a bite force around 300 PSI you definely felt it.
In crowd control you always keep your dog on its lead. Off lead/leash when tracking. But that was a long time ago I and I'm sure things have changed. I'll admit I would give a body part to be part of something like that.
