78 years ago today, several Arab countries started a war against the newly-independent State of Israel. Which they lost.

As a well-deserved consequence, 700,000 "Palestinians" lost their homes in Israel. Just as their Nazi German allies lost their homes east of the Oder-Neisse Line. But while the Germans ultimately learned to stop whining about it, the Palestinians still haven't.

Im not a fan of Palestinians, BUT, did they also attack? I am assuming they did but in my mind that means pointy sticks.

Palestine lacked an organized national army, due to, you know, having refused the UN partition plan that would have given them an independent state.

But they had the Army of the Holy War and Arab Liberation Army that attacked Jewish cities. They weren't just bystanders.

the vast majority of the "Nakba" Arabs (the VAST majority are now long dead)

believed they were temporarily leaving their positions

so that the Arab armies could carpet bomb and lay waste to the the entire city and only kill the Jews rather than hitting friendly Muslims

that believe they can suicide bomb you because they lost 4 wars they launched against you.

Guess what the Romans, Greeks, Spartans, Mongols, Ottomans, Seljuks, Persians would do to such a people?

The answer is yes of course they did.

the very first 6 months of the Israeli war of Independence was against local Arabs in the land of Israel attacking the Jewish settlements across the country.

1967 Six Day War

other than returning the Sinai to Egypt for a 50 year peace (worth it) in 1979

the Israelis are pretty much back again to the late June 1967 lines

They could have founded their own state and created whatever they liked. They chose instead to struggle to kill Jews.
