I'm not saying Texas is turning blue. I'm say that IF it were to happen, this is how.

It's just an unnecessary risk, and for what? The chance to elect a guy who is crooked even by the standards of the modern political establishment? A guy who used your tax dollars to pay off mistresses? It's all just so very stupid.

I'm afraid this endorsement is going to turn out like some other Trump endorsements. Senator Oz and Senator Walker - never heard of them. But we now may get to see Senator Talarico. Cornyn's mistake is believing that if you vote with Trump over 90% of the time it will mean something to Trump. But to MAGA and Trump you must be perfect, or you're a RINO. Electability means nothing. One thing we know for certain, Paxton's opponent will vote for Trump 0% of the time.

I used confusing language. He told those guys that if they wanted him to endorse Cornyn, they needed to get the Save act passed. I should have said Cornyn instead of "you" in the original sentence. I wasn't trying to imply more than that.

I just watched a talking head say Texas should own the result - you broke it if you elect Paxton. They shouldn't have to divert money from other states in the general... Really? After spending $150M in a primary on a candidate that was rejected by his constituents?

That post by Cornyn also highlights why relying on the old "voted with him 99%" metric is useless. When you get a guy like Cornyn in a leadership role, he can make sure that some things never even have to come up for a true up or down vote. And the Senate filibuster rules allow them to "vote for" cloture of debate on lots of things that they know will never pass that hurdle, while never having to vote against it if it actually came up for a true up or down vote. So they can say they "voted with Trump" on it, while making sure that they don't put any effort into actually working out a deal that has a chance of actually passing the real vote with enough support to get over the filibuster.

We are in a fight for our lives against Marxism and forced submission. They are intent on outlawing conservatism, and punishing financially or even arresting what would be in the past ordinary patriotic Americans. This is what Marxists do and its alarming to hear it in there current rhetoric. And they moderate their rhetoric to hide their true intentions. Fair elections will not be possible.

I'm not sure exactly how bad Paxton's character is. But I feel pretty good about him fighting against this wave that's coming over America - we don't have time to find a perfect or even a better guy. Paxton is going to defeat Cornyn, so there's no room for fighting for some principal that will cause the loss of all of our principals.

These are not normal times. This isn't 25 years ago when you could afford to live through a Bill Clinton. The delusion has progressed. A vote for any democrat, or even sitting this one out, is a vote for radical progressives and we are close to losing our country and our freedom.
