He also retaliated against 8 AAG's who were whistleblowers in the state Attorney General office. One whistleblower could be a personal vendetta. Eight means there's smoke.
I always see these things in the light of the Greg Hill suspension at A&M. Everyone does shady stuff in Austin, but going against the cool kids is what gets you in trouble.
One thing is for sure, the Texas GOP is not conservative by any means. I could absolutely see a bunch of Texas RINOs lining up against Paxton for being too MAGA, so the number doesn't mean anything to me.
In the end, he was acquitted, I believe?
I know several of the whistleblowers, some of which are attorneys and some are investigators. These are not RINOs. They are professtional prosecutors and professtional investigators who were ordered to perform unethical tasks and, in some cases, ordered to perform criminal acts.
And KP would not have agreed to a $6.6M judgement if there was no truth to the allegations. KP did not want the evidence to come out in open court because it would ruin him politically.
There were 2 reasons the TX Senate did not remove him;
1. Not enough of them had the balls to do it since Lt Dan did not want KP outed
2. Lt. Dan did not let into evidence some evidence that was extremely damaging to KP. This was easily admissable as it was statements made by KP at a lunch meeting in downtown Austin where KP admitted to intervening in the criminal case against the real estate developer who employed KP's side piece.
KP is a POS.
