I care but he's not up for sainthood and the choice is him or Cornyn who was in the gang of 8 and ready to sell us all out to the commies on immigration

You are thinking of current MAGA darlings Marco Rubio and Lindsay Graham. Cornyn was never a member.

He also retaliated against 8 AAG's who were whistleblowers in the state Attorney General office. One whistleblower could be a personal vendetta. Eight means there's smoke.

I always see these things in the light of the Greg Hill suspension at A&M. Everyone does shady stuff in Austin, but going against the cool kids is what gets you in trouble.

One thing is for sure, the Texas GOP is not conservative by any means. I could absolutely see a bunch of Texas RINOs lining up against Paxton for being too MAGA, so the number doesn't mean anything to me.

In the end, he was acquitted, I believe?

I know several of the whistleblowers, some of which are attorneys and some are investigators. These are not RINOs. They are professtional prosecutors and professtional investigators who were ordered to perform unethical tasks and, in some cases, ordered to perform criminal acts.

And KP would not have agreed to a $6.6M judgement if there was no truth to the allegations. KP did not want the evidence to come out in open court because it would ruin him politically.

There were 2 reasons the TX Senate did not remove him;
1. Not enough of them had the balls to do it since Lt Dan did not want KP outed
2. Lt. Dan did not let into evidence some evidence that was extremely damaging to KP. This was easily admissable as it was statements made by KP at a lunch meeting in downtown Austin where KP admitted to intervening in the criminal case against the real estate developer who employed KP's side piece.

KP is a POS.

With Paxton the likely candidate, I may well stay home Nov. 3. I know for a fact others in my social circle (all straight line Trump voters) will do the same, or skip voting for him at least. Policies are generally all fine, but the man isn't worth my endorsement.

Not ideal for sure. Hope enough folks show up to keep out the dem's pet heretic.

That's exactly what will get Talarico in the Senate. Sometime you have to vote for a chitty Republican candidate to keep a chittier Democrat candidate out!

Oh no it's the end of the world. Then we could maybe run a good person that's Republican against him 6 years from now and we might not even have a country then because Talarico isn't a serial adulterer. Better yet you could just run a decent human being today and Talarico would have no chance It all just makes so much sense.

Being an open heretic is worse than adultery

What worries me is that KP might not be able to beat the Dem. Whereas JC would have won easily.

I personally know a dozen people, at least, who will vote for the Dem rather than KP. Because they despise KP and would never trust him.

So, as you can tell, I will be voting for JC.

Cornyn went along with Biden ( Obama) about immigration and guns. He'd see which way the wind is blowing and when it blew Demoncrat he went with it. No thank you.to a turncoat. Those without sin throw the first stone at Paxton for his adultery. I will vote for him as he sued the heck out of Biden and represents Texas.

Rinos out in force, especially on this thread. Cornyn has proven over and over he's a piece of ****. Something has to change and this is where the rubber meets the road.

Talarico ain't going to win **** in Texas. The only wildcard would be massive Dem cheating to get that limp wristed simp into office. I don't think the Dems can do that here. . .yet.

I've heard similar from some relatives with severe TDS and some other Rinos. These whistle blowers damned sure weren't worried about all the thieves, robbers, and grifters getting off without prison time in the Covid years and continuing today. No trials anymore in our big, Liberal Texas Counties. Rampant with repeat felons victimizing people. But they were hot after Ken Paxton instead.

I watched the Paxton trial and if there was so much evidence, Something with Substance would have been presented as evidence. Buzbee absolutely wiped his azz with their Evidence and then put the paper in their mouths. Legal beat- down.

Tell those Rinos to stay home in November or vote for their new Beto. The rest will support Trump And Paxton and do to Talarico what Buzbee did to the Paxton Prosecutors.

I can tell by your reply you have absolutely no idea how the AGs office works, what they have criminal jurisdiction over (which is very little) and why anyone would oppose KP.

I hope whomever wins the R runoff wins the general election. I think JC has a better chance of winning in November.

And I hate it when people with no integrity represent our great state. But such is the world today.

Yep, he is solid alright. Claimed 3 homestead exemptions to get better mortgage rates and lower property taxes on all three. Didn't some mouthy democrat up north get caught doing the same thing.

We should not forget

  • Him taking a $1,000 Mont Blanc pen from a metal detector machine and having to return it to the Sheriff's office once they reviewed the footage and saw him pocket the thing
  • Him profiting from land deals along with the Collin County AG Greg Willis. where they allegedly had inside information about rezoning of the property.
  • His failure to disclose his investment in Watchguard, the police dashcam company, which received a statewide contract while Paxton was a state rep.

And worst of all...he's a Gaylor grad.

Actually, I learned a lot when they sued me for condemnation what complete schmucks they have representing this once great state of Texas. I couldn't believe that some of those fools actually passed the bar exam. Those that can do, those who can't….

The schmucks you allude to are not the ones I know. The ones I know are the prosecutors who come in and help local DAs try capital murder cases, cases against locally elected officials, etc. And the investigators I spoke of are the investigators who help the prosecutors on these capital murder cases.

There is no evidence that KP ordered anyone to break the law. Only second-hand rumblings. People saying that they heard from someone else what KP said.

Prove me wrong.
