I am the same way. Even though I am 73, mess with me and I am gonna fill the room so full of uppercuts it would take three Cat 5 hurricanes to blow them all out. Rat-A-Tat tat with jabs so fast Sugar Ray Leonard would pee his pants. Bite an ear off like Tyson. Reach back all the way to the floor before crushing a face with a haymaker. And I wouldn't stop there. Though I would likely be wearing flip flops, once they hit the floor I am going to run out and buy some pointy toe cowboy boots to deliver Tony Franklin like kicks to the rib cage until I tire of hearing them crack. All to be expected for messing up my order. Other than that, I am a pretty nice guy, some say angelic.

If it's something that is especially bothersome or cost me extra money if I don't correct it, I start out with "look, I'm sorry to bug you, and I don't want to make a thing of anything but I can't eat mustard on my food and I think they made a mistake. How much trouble would you get in if you corrected it?"

Or something similar. Being nice and humble about it will get the issue corrected at worst, and might get you a coupon for free meal next time at best. Either way, you can sleep at night knowing you're not a piece of poo who ruined someone's day who probably had nothing to do with it.

I don't know why everyone takes things like that as some kind of personal attack like the poor guy slinging fries is somehow personally taking his bad day out on folks. It's weird. We're all just trying to do our thing and sometimes people make mistakes.

But I'm not immune to being frustrated. I've gotten a messed up meal and thought "damn, all you had to do was follow the screen." But I've never ruined anyone's day or tried to deck them over the counter so that's something.

Just read that one of the major fast food chains (maybe McDonald's?) is getting rid of fountain drink dispensers because of theft and abuse. I'm sure the community is responsible for this.

So, instead, you will have to have a human behind the counter get your drink. So, actually regressing on automation / self serve front until they figure out how to automate drinks.
