Can someone please explain the stop sign Debbie joke?

I loved Flip Wilson and Geraldine. One of my favorites was "Chris gonna find Ray Charles", when describing why Christopher Columbus was going to the new world.

And the mouse in the printer...I had a warning on my car to check the 12v charging system. Turns out, a cat camped out in my car and couldn't get out fast enough to avoid the belt. The mechanic had to take a poll around the shop to determine it was a cat. I should have called Acura and asked them about the cat in the engine compartment was an add-on!
