They ran on this. Have they done anything? Are they forcing judges to face accountability when they let violent criminals go free on bail who then commit more violent crime?

Are they doing anything?

What good are the Republicans for this issue?

Cross reference where the most crimes happen with who is in charge of them.

Sadly we can't force Democrats to stop coddling criminals and enabling crime in their areas. Only pledge to not do the same in ours

Don't know about Republicans specifically, but Trump has stopped a ton of criminals from crossing the border, deported/arrested a ton more, and sent the national guard to police D.C. and Memphis I believe. Crime is way down in both cities.

What exactly do you propose that republicans do to force liberal judges in democrat run cities to uphold the law?

And, what do you mean by crime? Typical street crime? Violent crime? White collar crime?

In what region? In a city, county, or state?

What do you mean by solve? Completely erase crime or lower it year-over-year?

I find your premise to be lacking in any details that would allow actual discussion.

How do you care about this issue and not know what is going on in Baltimore, DC, Memphis, etc? Do a little digging since you are interested. Those 3 cities should be a good starter.

Do you pay attention at all to anything that resembles the news. They are attacking USAID fraud, Minnesota fake meal distribution fraud, Medicare fraud, and how about illegal immigration. Democrats are fighting ICE and liberal judges continue to release criminals back to the streets.

Yes. Astoundingly so.
The OP is laughably off base here unless he thinks ending crime altogether is something other than a fantasy.

I propose they enact laws in the states they control that hold judges accountable if their multiple-time repeat offenders commit more criminal acts. The judges should be forced to sit behind bars, too.

I specified violent crime.

See above: "in the states they control".

By solve, I mean reduce by the means suggested above.

If you really want to solve crime you're gonna have to eliminate Democrats. That's the hard truth.

Okay, why can't Republicans do this in states they control? DeSantis did it in Florida, removing DAs who won't prosecute crimes. Why aren't other states following suit?

Can you post the campaign ads?

Why are you concerned about a party who allegedly ran on a platform to reduce crime but may not have accomplished that, yet, but don't seem to give a damn about a party that WANTS violent crime? Or, at the very least, let it get to where it is.

In most states Judges are elected. Very, very difficult to remove a judge from office, other than at the ballot box.
Cannot remove a judge just because one does not like the judges' decisions.

The decisions by judges typically mirror the views of the people who elected them. Thus, in blue cities like Austin the judges are much more lenient on crime because that is what the majority of the electorate wants.

In rural Texas judges are tough on crime because the people in rural Texas DEMANDS that. And that demand is reflected in the cases where juries assess punishment.

Nope. The stats only go back to 1960 but since then, it was the lowest in FBI recorded data. This has been an ongoing general trend since the early 1991 (charts in attached) although the previous low was 2014 and then it increased through 2020/2021 throughout the last few Obama and Trump 45 years. While it dropped under Biden, I wouldn't give him any credit because I most of us can agree crime went up during Covid as people were flat out angrier and as that passed, crime rates went down.

Why the trend since 1991? It isn't clear but we have been helped by aging demographics.

Cracking down on illegal aliens and 'migrants' is something that has already had a tangible impact (as well as foreign 'workers');

The federal government can't force local Soros DA's to prosecute/incarcerate criminals more, but the net impact has been very positive over the past 18 months imho.

Have you seen/read anything to indicate it has somehow not improved (violent crime?)

Eliminating open borders migration and all the crime coming with it doesn't represent progress on this matter?

A good portion of the crime being committed in this country under Biden's watch came from these poor and completely innocent savages Democrats allowed in.

Not the only thing they have done. Administrative reform of the Justice Department and the FBI produces a refocus on actual criminal activities rather than continuous politically-oriented investigations. Scum like Abrego Garcia are being hunted rather than Catholics reading the Mass in Latin. Abuses in government actions are being pursued in preference to hunting Melania's panties. Fraud in the distribution of Federal funds is getting an accounting in a manner we have not seen in this country since Eisenhower.

I wish they were doing more about it at the legislative level. But the work the Executive is not what many legislators in GOP leadership wish to codify and solidify into code.

So here are some basic government realities. The Republicans do not control who is a local judge. It most states they are voted for and have terms. You can't just chuck them
when you win an election. In addition, it is not a simple process to replace federal judges either. So that is a problem that will take some time.

Trump has gone after a ton of fraud which is crime. Trump has put ICE everywhere trying to get the criminals off the streets with ENORMOUS push back from Dems. Trump has brought in national guard in several areas to help local forces reduce crime often with Massive push back from local police and local leaders.

More visible attempts to lower crime than almost any previous president in my lifetime.

Not sure what you are expecting? Trump has little power to do anything in local
Police departments but he can with federal entities and he has.

Local police unions and judges are a huge problem without an easy fix.

Easy come, Easy go

Soros DAs in cities refusing to prosecute crime and left wing judges ignoring law and the Constitution are very frustrating but checks and balances are protecting them. The people that vote them in are going to have to get fed up with it for something to change.

The problem is that left wingers congregate in cities which results in idiots like this getting elected. Democrats are very stupid people and do not understand cause and effect so it's going to be a tough hill to climb.

A: Removed millions of criminal illegal aliens from the US in the past 18 months.
B: Jailed tens of thousands of rioters that are paid for by NGOs.
C: Disrupted money flows to NGO's that the US funds that are involved in the anti-US policies.
D: Closed the board to further criminal illegal aliens.
E: Indicting hundreds of people involved in fraud in states that give billions of dollars to fake healthcare and childcare facilities (this money funds terrorism and other criminality).
F: Chose SCOTUS justices that were known to think abortion wasn't a federal right. They overturned Roe V Wade. Stopped the funding of aborftion nationwide. This slowed money to leftist, criminal organizations who used the money to support other leftist criminal organizations.
G: Put federal troops all over Washington DC. Crime immediately went to near zero.
H: Murder rates across the country are collapsing.
I: Holding hearings on the FBI coverup of the Jan 11 witch hunt. Criminality in the FBI allows criminality across the country.

That's just a start....let me know if you need another dozen or more examples.

Correct. Must be therapeutic for the TDS infused to start a thread that "Trump campaigned on X and I voted for him 100 times because of it, but despite all the evidence presented to me that he has done X, I was hoping for and demand X+ and since that hasn't specifically happened I am big mad.

Trump has moved mountains to combat violent crime. But if someone gets shot in Houston's third ward over the weekend it means Trump has failed and broken a campaign promise and all of MAGA should be calling him out.
