Not that I am promoting any theory at all in regards to the missing/dead scientists, but, my dad had the same admin for probably 15 years and he used to say she knew more than his accountant, attorney, and their CFO.

She had blown through all of her and her husband's money, ran up the credit cards, lost her security clearance, her husband wanted a divorce, and her daughter had graduated from high school a couple of weeks earlier. There is video of her walking down the highway alone wearing a backpack. That was the last time she was seen. Clear suicide.
