I would rate the Hill as Center to Center Left, so I don't put a lock of stock into what they write. I will agree that the primary feature of all Trump appointees seems to be loyalty, which leads to some very poor choices, like Kristi Noem and Bill Pulte. On the other hand, his more important choices, like Rubio and Hegseth, have been great.

Loyalty to the sitting president who appointed you should be a priority, and I'm not sure why this is not understood? Imagine leaders appointing people who acted against their best interest.
