For those who are watching what the DSA has been doing with increasing levels of alarm at their success, congratulations on recognizing a successful political strategy going from local elections to statewide races. This is what the Libertarians should have been using their money and energy towards for the last 25 years instead of running kooks with no name recognition for president/vp that had zero chance of meaningfully impacting any race. Win very small local races, then build name and brand recognition to base state or regional campaigns on. Then go after the bigger prizes.

DSA has done it successfully and now they are winning meaningful races that will give them a bloc of votes to use in negotiating the things they want. Hopefully the Libertarians are watching and learning. This is what forcing a party to change looks like. Unfortunately it is being done by the worst people in America.

Regardless of where their money is coming from, the strategy they are using is far more effective than anything the libertarians have done over the last 3 decades.

Understood. I bring up the foreign source of funds as it should allow for much broader investigation (and ideally action) to start to cutoff their funds.

Also, folks need to do their part in the daily to fight the misinformation and propaganda that is consistent with or even adjacent to what the DSA is shoveling out there.

And people, including myself, are going to have to quit being lazy about local politics.

IMO, that's because most "libertarians" are really just socially liberal types who are too embarrassed by the economic illiteracy of the democrat party to officially associate with them.

They don't want to be Republicans either because that's the home of the Christian right which they also want no part of.

The DSA is a hostile, communist, takeover of the democrat party. And now the mask is off and no one is hiding what they are nor their hate of the United States and western culture. They are extremely motivated and will use any medium to gain power. In this case, the democrat party. I mean, just look at the militant Islamists in the DSA and their willingness to align with the radical LGBTQ culture. All a means to an end.

Libertarians don't have nearly the motivation. Most just want to make money, be comfortable, and not be hassled by what they see as "extremist" on either side.
