The left will think this is reflective of the rest of America.

Only the rabid left.

The ones in the middle-left know what happened in New York is like ultra-maga winning in deep red areas.

And even if these three win, they're all of three. At best, they're the new "Squad," which in the real world means nothing when ALL the votes are tallied.

Every new lib is the next worst (fill in the blank), but these three are as likely to get anything actually changed in the exact way they want as we are. Hell, we'd have a better chance if I really think about it.

And yet the middle left would still vote for the communist if given a choice between a communist or a person because (D).

look in the mirror

I have looked in the mirror and I'm not a communist. I'm normal. Voting for a communist is an automatic no go for me.

Not sure I get your point.

Trump is a "fascist" and you vote for him...

that's his point.

Well then posters knowledge of mirrors, pretty much mirrors his knowledge of economics and history.

Brains are broken on the left.

They still believe in Russian collusion based on Russia buying $2000 worth of ads on Facebook. They believe it was a-OK for Hunter Biden to be put on the board of a foreign O&G company despite having never been a CEO on any company and having no O&G experience. and on and on...

That same brokenness causes them to literally vote for radical commie Muslims and believe it's the right thing to do.

Biden told us that that those of us not in the Democrat Party were America's greatest enemy. Meanwhile, communists who call for the overthrow of America, and who have henchmen telling us they will execute the rest of us after their revolution, have swept the Dem primaries in New York.

But we are the extremists because we don't agree with the far-left oppression and murder the Democrats have now openly adopted.

What does that mean? Seriously, New York for the last 200+ years has been a city of immigrants constantly in flux. I think what you mean, is that it's a different subset of immigrants infusing into the mix.

Ever go to Brooklyn in the 70's, 80's 90's or early 2000's when it was largely white? Go walk it now. Completely unrecognizable. There are social media pages dedicated to showing what life was like in NYC and the boroughs just a few decades ago, because it has changed so dramatically.

Would be a lot better if it was Italians or Irish or East Asians flooding the city, but it is not.

Yes, it's disingenuous to just say "city of immigrants" when there is a massive difference amongst races, ethnicities, and cultures of immigrants from decades ago vs now. NYC dropped from 35% white to 30% white from 2000 to 2020. Have to assume it's down a few more points in the last six years.

Probably a post for the R&P board but what the hell.

This is all starting to feel a bit ominous isn't it.? It may not be one person, but a group of people, rising from the east. Whispering in the ears of those who are vulnerable with venom and making it taste like sugar.

This is a rapid change in our country. This is happening so much faster than anyone could imagine, and, to me, I can't help but think there's something darker to all of this. It just feels like the curd and whey are being separated in this world. Lines are being drawn in the sand

it is not some type of unique religious awakening

People like me were WARNING ABOUT THIS FOR YEARS

when the population starts to turn against the Jews- it's the canary in the coal mine and pretty soon everyone else is going down as well.

for YEARS since 9/11 we were warning the West and the USA not to allow millions of invading Muslims into the countries.

now you see the results-

no one like Mamdani existed outside Uganda until the US government/leftists let in millions of immigrants who do not share our cultural values

Not to start a holy war here but the bible has been saying this for a long time. No matter how you look at it or through what lens you see it, it ain't good

The exit polls show young, college "educated" and wealthy voted majority for the socialists.

The poors, olds, brown, and black voters did not.

Yes! I am glad that you said that, because I was thinking the same thing on my way to lunch. "They," always capture the young, college aged people from affluent families, because the kids have had everything handed to them, and have access to cash donations.

But, I have no doubt that Soros or his like are involved as well. I don't think that the rich spoiled college kids can organize the process. Maybe I'm wrong.

Yeah, but the left says the same about the right when the right votes whoever the left is calling a "fascist" so I see that as a wash.

Where the right beats out the left, though, is when their fringe (far-far-faaar) right folks still fall in line and vote for the GOP candidate regardless.

The left's fringe eff'tards don't do that. They take their feels and vote third-party candidate or stay home.

At least you guys stay united in the end,

You have that completely backwards.

New York's 13th Congressional District which includes East Harlem, Washington Heights, and parts of the Bronx.

Demographics:

Hispanic/Latino: ~51% - 54%
Black/African American: ~23% - 30%
White: ~4% - 15%
Asian: ~5%

Foreign-Born: About 35% of the district's population was born outside the United States.
Income & Poverty: With a median household income roughly around $48,000 and a high poverty rate (near 28%)

This is what the Great Replacement looks like. These people are not just un-American; they are ignorant and stupid anti-American communists voting for communist demagogues.

Cross tabs say otherwise

The voting outcomes in these crosstabs are separate than percentage of foreign born. I think you are conflating two different things?

Regardless, these demo outcomes for her are almost exactly like Mamdani's win.

The no life experience young and the highly mis-educated via our leftist indoctrination colleges got her over the finish line.

The data shows that she lost poor, minority precincts while winning wealthy, white precincts.

I think your last point is accurate… She was carried by Young wealthy out of touch professionals.

What's truly emblematic of the problem, though, is that less than 10% of the district actually voted in the primary. This is how DSA wins… When you close primaries… You disenfranchise voters

This "United States" experiment is going to be tested again when states no longer agree.

What constitutional avenue do states have to leave the union? The last attempt failed and led to civil war.
