It's called "charity"…you know, individuals and organizations giving voluntarily. Not government taking and redistributing tax dollars.

Charity won't solve a problem where 10-100K people are dead...at least not initially.

And since we just changed our relationship with VZ, this would also be a good way to cement our relationship with the people there.


The American taxpayer cannot always be the answer to the world's calamities.

The massive fraud we have seen for decades has consequences. Our treasury has been sucked dry.

The one in the Philippines, almost certainly given the location. Aftershocks can continue for a long period of time. Heck, on the Island of Hawaii, they still have aftershocks from an earthquake that occurred in 1868.

The one in Pakistan is right on a plate boundary and not out of the ordinary.

There was a 7.8 earthquake in the Philippines on June 7. This 6.5 quake is in the same area.

The hysteria is getting out of hand, mostly being driven by the click bait culture on social media.

I'm sure when Kilauea has its latest lava fountaining episode in the next few days, we'll get posts with some Twitter account trying to connect it to Venezuela and imply its another sign of the apocalypse.

Actually, over the last several months the United States has held all revenue generated via Venezuela oil sales in a trust controlled by the United States. That account is in the billions. And it was stated at the time money is for the benefit of the Venezuelan people.

Time to use that money.

The vids on X of rescues are incredible, but also heartbreaking, knowing that for every rescue there is likely 1000+ recoveries.

There is even a vid of a mother and newborn who gave birth in the rubble. Another in which a father who is holding the hands of his two dead daughters requests that he be left to die with them.
