I think these people are convinced in their own minds that they know better, and believe that socialism or communism is better for mankind. The movie itself is really bad. The plot is nonsense and there is no character development. It does not connect emotionally like other revenge films of its kind and the lead actor is creepy AF. Some scenes are laughably bad including the lead shooting 30 cops when they raid his apartment and one cops head explodes like the scene in Scanners. This is a straight up gore revenge flick with a message that it's time to fight back.

There are two ways to respond to this. The first, and more measured response is simply "yet". The second, more uncomfortable response is that the counter strategy exists as the 2nd Amendment to the US Constitution. The issue there is that we haven't gotten squeezed enough yet for that to become an actionable idea. We're still too snug and comfy for anyone to light the fuse, so to speak. Once people have had enough and begin to rise up en masse, it will go and go quickly. Right now though, no matter how righteous and justifiable any action may be, the perpetrator will be viewed as just another kook.
