The Texas A&M University System announced partnerships to expand veterinary education, research and undergraduate outreach into several regions of the state through four A&M System universities. This initiative will focus on the need to increase the number of underrepresented minorities entering the profession as well as enlarging the pipeline of rural-based veterinarians to better serve the livestock industry as well as deer and wildlife interests.

The Texas A&M Foundation is a nonprofit organization that receives major gifts and manages endowments for Texas A&M University. Texas Tech (a/k/a Tceh) was pushing for a vet school of their own.

This will stave off that movement to an extent.

Perhaps it'll inprove the Vet school's ranking.
