Howdy! Husband has orders to Ellington and we plan on living in League City or Friendswood. I have a BBA in HR Management from SHSU, an MBA from TWU, and am currently enrolled in A&M's MLS focus on Labor and Employment Laws. I have worked and/or interned for 3 school districts - 2 in Harris County (Spring and Klein ISD) and 1 in Connecticut. I am used to working for large and small school districts and staffing sizes.
I was laid off at the end of June due to budget cuts (ESSER funding ended). I used the past year to begin the MLS degree. I am also studying for PHR and SHRM-CP certification and will test for those in May.
My experience ranges from full cycle hiring, records management, project management, and training. I would like to stay within education or another non-profit. However, I am open to other opportunities.
Besides work, I have years of volunteer experience as both grunt labor and leadership. I just reached 10 years with Rodeo Houston on Corral Club - Auctions & Receptions. I also am the Ombudsman for Coast Guard Academy (~2 years) and represent 5 Coast Guard units in and around New London, CT on the Military School Liaison Committee (~2 years)
