zooguy96, I am curious how you got out of teaching. I posted the thread about the MLS Degree Tracks offered at the law school and have gotten zero hits so far.
10 years in, Chemistry/Physics teacher. unfortunately I majored in History...
Any guidance would be appreciated.
Unusual actually. Was teaching HS. Got recruited by my wife's firm (environmental consulting firm). Worked there for 7 months. Resigned (boss was a micro-manager). Went back to the same school, but had to teach middle school. Was worse than teaching high school.
Just started networking, talking to people at church, etc. Quit teaching middle school, and went into an assistant manager program with a large retail store. Didn't expect to do it long-term; ended up doing it only two months. Kept on applying, but was much more effective by tailoring my resume to each position.
Eventually got a staff position at a major university, where my teaching background was extremely helpful. Extremely flexible schedule, which allows me to work on my side hustle to fund a food trailer.
Talking to people, networking, tailoring your resume.
I know a lot about a little, and a little about a lot.
