Job Title: Financial Analyst
Reports To: Chief Investment Officer
Location: Addison, TX (DFW)
Travel: Occasional
My employer, a family office, is seeking a candidate that displays strong financial acumen, attention to detail, high technical aptitude, and a propensity for problem solving. The primary responsibilities of the Financial Analyst are to provide support for both the leadership and operations teams for a variety of finance functions including monthly reporting, budgeting, financial analysis, and operational performance measurement.
SPECIFIC DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
Prepare monthly management discussion and analysis packages and present results and recommendations to leadership and operational teams
Identify, measure, and maintain operational metrics and key performance indicators across the existing investment platforms
Develop ad hoc strategic analysis such as variance or profitability analysis to identify areas of improvement
Expand existing business intelligence platforms to drive improved decision making
Build financial models for budgeting (income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow statement) and valuation (DCF, LBO, comparables, etc.) purposes
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree in finance or a related field
A minimum of 2 years in a finance-based, analytical role such as financial planning and analysis, transaction advisory, banking, consulting, investing, or accounting (preferred)
Knowledge of accounting (GAAP) and financial concepts, including the income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow statement
Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel (Pivot tables, Vlookup, etc.), Power Point, and business intelligence tools such as Power BI (preferred)
