Personally I would keep Lance and move on from Rush. Lance has more upside


You aren't really looking for upside from a backup QB unless you plan on them to be your long term starter down the road. Don't think this team has plans for Lance to take the reins from Dak.

You want a high floor from your backup. Lance's floor is way lower than Rush's. Some of these throws to wide open receivers are hilariously bad.

They've pulled out some lucky games this year. At the same time, Daniels just has some freaky traits. His ability to escape tackles he has no business escaping is crazy. And he does it over and over and over. It's wild.

Trey Lance is so frustrating... He throws absolute perfect 25 yard laser beams like he did to Tolbert just now. The type of throw we haven't seen in Dallas since Aikman.

But then you remember that he can't throw a lob pass to a wide open guy in the end zone or he can't hit a TE in the flats.

"Article 15. Twisting, Pulling, Or Turning The Facemask Or Helmet Opening

If a player grasps an opponent's facemask or helmet opening, he must immediately release it. He shall not grasp and control, twist, turn, push, or pull the facemask or helmet opening of an opponent in any direction.

Penalty: For twisting, turning, pushing, pulling, or controlling the mask or helmet opening: Loss of 15 yards. The player may be disqualified if the action is flagrant. If the foul is by the defense, it is also an automatic first down."
