The Texans did some sort of something with their OL this year that made no sense to anyone.
Joe Mixon is hurt
Christian Kirk missed the first 2 games.
Their scheme so far with the new OC looks like a 7th grader playing Madden. Every pass takes forever to develop, every screen is telegraphed. They keep throwing to guys and expect them to make a move, but they're getting lit up as they catch it. Stroud has run a little better than previous, but he's getting crushed and he's holding the ball forever.
RB Woody Marks seems like a good find. Really quick and really sharp catching the ball, but he's seems smallish.
The rookie WR Jaylin Noel seems promising as well. He's been really good on PR.
Basically the OL looks terrible, the play-calling seems really terrible, and Stroud looks like he's playing in quicksand. The defense has been really good and they've had a chance to tie / win in every game but pissed it away.
The play-calling needs to improve dramatically really quickly. You assume they can beat the Titans at home Sunday, but after that they have @ Baltimore, bye, @ Seattle vs. San Fran, vs. Denver before the Jags come to Houston. That's an easy fade to 1-7 if they can't score.
