That said, he didn't pick up his team today when they needed him most. He had a chance to overcome the expected pitiful defensive performance and shove it down the throats of bottom feeders, and he was timid and didn't press the advantage. Is what it is.

Good lord

If nothing else this season really is exposing those who were always going to hate him regardless of his actual performance.

Had a chance with 6 minutes to go to make his defense irrelevant. Didn't do it. Please explain what is wrong with that assessment.

25/34 for 261 & 3 TDs. If you want to point at anything on the offense, point at the 31 total rushing yards

As much as eberflus deserves to get fired, its not going to happen until at least the end of the season. Historically Jerry has never been one to have a knee jerk reaction to anything sometimes to the teams detriment

There's some stupid **** posted on texags but this one may take the cake. We cannot be seriously blaming Dak for this loss.

I'm not blaming him. I don't care. The Cowboys are at best mediocre, and their 4th best QB in franchise history isn't enough to overcome it. Peyton Manning played on some awful teams in Indy, and managed to conjure 10 wins out of thin air. Dak isn't Peyton. But if the debate is whether he is as good as Tony Romo, fine. This is a franchise that isn't interested in winning anything, and that's the debate we're reduced to having. Fun times.

whatever else dak is, he IS a waste of money on this team and an impediment to the hard rebuild that needs to happen. as a fan, the line between "not being the one to blame" and "not delivering a victory" is meaningless to me. thank goodness the 'boys traded parson to "improve their run defense" or it might have gotten really ugly. Dak is playing great but the drive before Carolina had their last drive was absolutely pathetic. they were practically in aubrey's range when they got the ball and did nothing but march backward. if the highest paid player in football can't get you wins over the bears or the panthers what's the point. burn this thing down and let's see if anything that might actually make a conference championship game might rise from the ashes. the timeline for that is long enough jerry might actually be dead by then greatly improving the odds.

Those that want Dak gone should be strapped into a chair and have to watch that Jets v Broncos game from earlier today on a loop. That's what happenes when you don't have a QB.

pretty sure age will get dak before the cowboys are able to assemble anything even sniffing superbowl level around him. personally there is very little difference in 7-10 and 3-13 in a given season for me. irrelevant is irrelevant and unlike with the ags, i can just tune out on the cowboys until they give me something worth watching.

If you're saying a waste of money because a qb playing this well is being wasted with an awful defense then yes i agree. The biggest problem is the GM who cant put together a roster that compliments your expensive qb. If the eagles can do it, why cant the cowboys?

There were entire seasons where Tony Romo was the only thing that made games watchable. Every year about a third of the teams in the NFL are Chan Gailey-level unwatchable. Sunday, overall, is such an inferior product to Saturday.

Daks contract is a convenient talking point for casuals. With a little bit of research they'd see that the cowboys have the 2nd most cap space in the league, so that argument doesn't hold water. Jerry has the ability to build around him, he just won't

Agreed 100%. So sick of this bull**** argument that you cant build a team with an expensive qb. Its simply not true. And unfortunately the fools in charge of this franchise believe it too

Dak at his best is better than Aikman and Romo. You can ***** all you want, but it's just a fact even when adjusted for pace of play and era.

Staubach is the best relative to when he played, but Dak is second

Such a low IQ post

Imagine posting with such confidence when you don't even recognize a play calling vs QB issue

Pretty much everyone but this guy and a couple of other people I know acknowledge that Dak is one of the best QBs in the league right now. 261 yds and 3 TDs kept them in the game despite the defense letting Dowdle run all over them.

Interested in your reasoning behind saying Dak is better than Aikman. Dak has the stats, sure. But Aikman was a leader and led the team to 3 SBs. Dak has won... 2 playoff games?

don't recall saying he wasn't. said he was a waste of money at this point in the franchise and likely delaying the complete rebuild that needs to happen. to quote a great football analyst: "We had some diamonds, but we had a lotta cow poo poo around it, and the diamonds was mixed in with the poo poo... it just all look like poo poo."

Who was Aikman handing off to? Who was he throwing to? Who was on defense on those teams?

Now answer the same questions for Dak.

Neither Aikman nor Dak did it, or didn't, on their own.

Aikman was the 6th-7th best offensive player on those SB teams, depending on the year in question.

Dak has never played on a team even close tot eh overall talent of the 1995 Cowboys, let alone the 92-93 teams which were arguably the two deepest superbowl champs of all time.

I guess. But moving on from Dak will set you back for years. You have to be fully bought into the tank that will ensue
To me the rebuild is only needed on one side of the ball. And you have draft capital to address over the next few years while Dak is still good
