I have definitely been more impressed this year with Pickens versus Lamb. Effort, splash plays, enthusiasm, attitude…all better for Pickens

Adding Williams already looks like a net positive for the defense, and getting overshown back probably doesn't hurt. If the offense can click, and the defense can just play average then they might be able to win some games down the stretch. They'd need a lot of help to even think about the playoffs, but that bye actually helps with the loss column.

Pickens is a big strapping guy. I've always worried about Lamb's durability. And he fights for every yard, so he ends up on bad end of some really violent tackles.

Not to downplay Pickens, but it's likely they are bracketing CD and George is doing exactly what he's supposed to to... Eating them up trying to cover him 1 on 1.

I honestly feel so bad for fans and players of franchises like the Jets, Raiders, Browns, etc. It's just negative experience and negative energy one play and one game after another. Just straight up incompetence year after year after year.

It really is remarkable in a sport with a salary cap to see franchises just stay in the mud consistently.
