Will be interesting to see what Buffalo does if they get bounced again

Being a Dolphins fan, I wish Mikey McD would be shown the door, but apparently not now

Ravens will regret this move. Now it's all on Lamar to prove he can do it. I wouldn't want that coaching job knowing your QB is often hurt, disengaged, and average in the playoffs.

I was most surprised by the Ravens' firing of John Harbaugh. His 18-year tenure was the second longest behind Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin and twice as long as his predecessor Brian Billick. He led the Ravens to one Super Bowl championship in 2012, 4 AFC Championship Game appearances in 2008, 2011, 2012, and 2023, and 12 playoff appearances, and 13 winning seasons. He went 13-11 in playoff games, including 8-7 in road playoff games. He had just 3 losing seasons: 5-11 in 2015, 8-9 in 2021, and 8-9 in 2025, and two 8-8 seasons in 2013 and 2016.

THIS!!!

It has been too long with 2 yr coaches arriving, failing, and going. Hundreds of players have gone through that locker room. It is about coaching. Always has been.

Many have said we can't draft. (Well, we can't.) But after top 5 picks over the last 150 years I think we should have some workable talent. We need a tried and true coach. Not an experiment.

Patriots went from the dregs to a great team in two years. 49'ers did it a few years ago.

I would give up the mayor of NYC to get a good coach. (I know, I know, F16 sarcasm.)

Go get Harbaugh. Could we do worse? (Well, yes, history proves that.)

Meh. I think the Ravens are looking down the barrel of a rebuild and probably would have been with or without Harbaugh.

Will we stop at 7, or is there 1 or 2 more that will be shown the door?

A tale of 2 seasons from November 30th.

Falcons found a way to lose to the Jets, 27-24.

if the Falcons win that game, they would have won the South over Carolina, made the playoffs, and won 6 of their final 7 games.

If the Jets had lost it, they would have had the #1 pick in the draft.

Hope he ends up with the Giants.

Was shocked to find out he's 64….thought he was 15 years younger.

Honestly pretty surprised given the verbiage coming out of the head office. But given the sudden availability of Harbaugh though….

Mike had his phone ringing the instant the news broke though. At least a couple HC spots will be interested for sure but I know several teams are out right salivating at getting him for OC.

God no. Harbaugh to NYG, Tomlin to FOX/CBS, and (hopefully) Klint Kubiak to PIT

Isn't Tomlin still under contract? So if anyone hired him they'd have to give some sort of compensation to Pitt?

My Raiders have the #1 pick so hopefully we get an offensive minded coach to go with Mendoza

I'd love it if Baltimore brought in Harbaugh for an interview after kicking the tires with a bunch of retreads.

how about that

wherever Tomlin goes...

he needs a (mid-career) Hall of Fame QB

don't pair him with a young QB who needs development

Harbaugh would be better suited for that

I am not surprised that Mike Tomlin stepped down after a 19-year tenure as the Steelers head coach. The Steelers have lost 7 consecutive playoff games, including 3 home playoff losses in 2017, 2020, and 2025 since an 18-16 road win over the Chiefs in the 2016 Divisional Round on 1/15/2017. Six of the Steelers' seven consecutive playoff losses were by 11+ points each. The only exception was a 45-42 home loss to the Jaguars in the 2017 Divisional Round on 1/14/2018. Even in that game, the Steelers trailed by 21 points twice: 21-0 with 11:31 left in the 2nd quarter and 28-7 with 2:20 left, and they scored a meaningless touchdown with 1 second left to make the final score look close. The Steelers have been outscored 260-154 in their seven-game playoff losing streak, and they became the first team in NFL history to lose five consecutive playoff games by 10 or more points.

https://www.si.com/nfl/steeler-unfortunate-nfl-playoff-history-texans

The NFL is a cutthroat league where no one lasts forever, and the past seven days have been proof of that. Harbaugh was fired by the Ravens less than 48 hours after losing to Tomlin's Steelers in a wild Week 18 game that kept Baltimore out of the playoffs. As for Tomlin, he decided to step down just one day after losing his seventh playoff game in a row, which ties him with former Bengals coach Marvin Lewis for the most consecutive postseason losses in NFL history.

https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/mike-tomlin-parts-ways-with-steelers-who-is-now-longest-tenured-coach/

Now, Andy Reid is the longest tenured head coach, who just completed his 13th season with the Chiefs. Sean McVay, Kyle Shanahan, and Sean McDermott are the 2nd longest tenured head coaches. All 3 head coaches are currently on their 9th seasons and just led them their team to road playoff wins.

Giants ownership trying to close the deal with Harbaugh today. Sounds like the Giants GM will do whatever he has to make him happy. Hope it works out.

Being reported his representation has already told teams interested that he does not plan to coach next year. My guess is he's in a studio for 2 seasons at least.

Boom, Giants got him. 5 yr contract. I think we will see a turnaround quickly. Maybe not a deep run in the playoffs, but at least competitive week after week. There is some talent there, but looking forward to see what his staff looks like and what the draft will be like.
