Previous 2 games were close (total differential of 3 points) with the home team winning each one. Could be a good NFC title game.

I'm all in on the AFC. I hate the NFC teams left.

I do like Stafford/Nakua though.

The Rams defeated the Bears 20-17 in overtime on the road to reach the NFC Championship Game for the 3rd time in 8 years and the 12th time. The Bears outgained the Rams 417 to 340, outrushed the Rams 160 to 111, and won the time of possession 39:15 to 32:26, but the Rams won the turnover margin 3 to 0 and stopped the Bears on 4th down three times. As a result, the Rams will play at the Seahawks in the NFC Championship Game, creating all-NFC West championship game for the 2nd time in 5 years. I noticed several other stats:

1. The Rams were the only road team to win in the Divisional Round.

2. The Rams snapped a 4-game road losing streak in Chicago by winning there for the first time since a 23-21 road win over the Bears on 11/16/2003.

3. The Rams won 2 consecutive road playoff games over the Panthers and Bears to reach the NFC Championship Game. This is the 2nd straight year and 5th time in 7 years that a No. 5 or lower seed wins two consecutive road playoff games to reach a conference championship game. The Rams joined the 2019 Titans, 2020 Buccaneers, 2021 49ers, and 2024 Commanders.

4. Sean McVay has improved to 10-5 in playoff games, including 4-3 on the road.

5. The Seahawks will play back-to-back playoff games against their division opponents: 49ers and Rams.

Note for the Broncos and their fans: I know it has been an emotional 24 hours. I feel for Bo and the team, and I'm sending prayers for a strong recovery.

A positive note going into the game versus the Patriots is that they struggle against backup QBs in championship-type games.

If the Hawks play like they did Saturday night, they beat the Rams by 20.

On the basis of regular season record, they were the third best team in the NFC at 12-5. The reason they were the 6 seed was that they were in the same division as the Rams and Seahawks. Any other division and SF is the #2 seed, since Chicago and Philly were both 11-6.

And they beat the #2 seed in the regular season, in addition to having a better record than Chicago.

9ers were in rough shape due to injuries, but if we're going by recent performances, Seattle should feel good going into the game.
