Anyone listen to this show? I have off and on for about 15 years or so. Strange topics, but it used to be a lot better with Art Bell as host.

I used to but no longer have satellite radio in my car. I work shift work and enjoyed listening to it at night at work as well. I tried finding a station on iHeart radio that broadcast Coast to Coast AM but couldn't..

Definitely better with art bell. Even George norry was good. Not sure if he still does it though.

The last few times I've listened, it's been some chick and a young sounding guy. Not really what I picture when I think of C2C. I expect to hear a deeper voice with some age.

I also don't like it when they have guests. I like the listener call ins.

I have been listening off and on for about 15 years as well.

love cost to coast when I am in the car super late. It is rare these days I get to it.

However I agree that Art had a certain magic in his voice when talking.

Noory is still doing it...just not on weekends

Honestly I listen but to the show sometimes but it isn't what it used to be. In fact I think Noory has completely ruined it. He's terrible IMO. With Bell it had an edginess to it. That's all gone. Generic guests like "the numbers lady" or some other bullsh... Noory never has strong opinions about anything. no longer a fan

I've listened for a long time and I think it is really hasn't changed that much. Art Bell has a better radio voice. The guests are totally hit and miss. Many, IMHO, are simply charlatans. The science guys can be interesting.

I suppose the show's affection with Alex Jones has died off as he doesn't come on as much. The show is well packed with the doom and gloom crowd which gets old.

Bottom line: It's better than the standard fare conservative political talk that has taken over large amounts of the talk segment.

Favorite thing I remember was the guy who managed to sneak up on an alien in the woods and whack it across the head (after it killed his dog), so he did the sensible thing and wrapped it up like a burrito in a blanket, and then stuffed it in his deep freeze. His other evidence was an uneartly scream that it made when he opened the freezer. Then it mysteriously disappeared, I think, was the resolution.

Two things I remember that I loved...

One had a guy catching a strange animal in the North East. It walked on two legs, had scaly skin, sharp teeth, and claws. Also, the creature looked oddly reptilian.... Yeah, he caught a baby dinosaur but would not say so.

The other involved a guy calling in AS he was flying over area 51. He was in a small plane with a red cross on it to show he was a "medical plane." They scrambled planes to go after him. I don't remember how it turned out.

I have recently found the old cassette recordings of the old Art Bell shows that I recorded in the mid 90's. Awesome stuff.

Shoutcast has multiple "Best of Art Bell" stations if anyone is so inclined. A good % of the topics are so off the wall that it doesn't matter that they're 15+ years old. (it's all free obviously)

Art was great, but I like Noory too. Sure he doesn't interview guests as tough as Art did (he lets some serious BS slide), but that doesn't bother me much, especially because he sometimes hosts guests with informed opinions on legit topics and I feel Noory's conversational style is more entertaining than Art's with that type of interview.

That's the funny part. One day they'll bring on the "world's foremost bigfoot expert" to discuss sightings in the Pacific Northwest and the next day the guest will be an internationally renowned astrophysicist to talk about some new discovery. The science-focused episodes + anything on global conspiracies are my favorite.

I listed coming to work occasionally. The topics are way out in left field. I'll say this, it's entertaining.

I listen to it often during the spring and summer when I am out and about late at night. I also you Tune it In radio pro to record the weeks shows because I like Noorey. I have actually grown to like him better than Art Bell

I used to listen to it occasionally. From my point of view, it was okay as long as you didn't take it at all seriously.

I used to really laugh at the bottomless pit in Idaho or Oregon or wherever it was. And the people who claimed to have traveled back in time to our present were strange.

People calling in talmbout "shadow people" was what I remember most about Art's show.

It was odd when he suddenly "retired" and moved to the Phillipines. He broadcasted from Manila for a while but then retired again. He claimed his family was being threatened.

Will listen to Noory but only if I'm on the road late.

Love this show. This is MUST listen radio when I'm driving late at night. I'm a fan of both Art Bell & George Noory. Don't really care for the new hosts, they just don't have the same pace and repartee with the guests.

Obviously the shows about shadow people, UFOs, bigfoot and the like can't be beat. Open Lines is usually good stuff too.

My favorite C2C moment was after they had "Jesus" on the show. A self-proclaimed Christian called in upset that it wasn't the real Jesus and admitted that for the first 30 minutes he really thought it was Jesus because Coast to Coast AM is able to pull such great guests. I don't remember if George or Art was hosting that night but his banter with the caller was hilarious.

Apparently mp3s of the old Art Bell shows are all over the internet. I never really looked until now. I have a new project that I didn't have time for.

Someone was abusing his son or threatening blackmail around something to do with his son if I recall correctly.

I used to love the show and have even been known to call in suffering from various diseases (temporary total paralysis, for example) or having been witness to some kind or another odd phenomena (involuntary invisibility).

What is really great is the when Phil Hendrie pretends to be Art Bell on his show. Hilarious.

Phil Hendrie was great, period.

I remember the first time I heard him. Bobbie Dooley was on. "Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm." I remember thinking--there is no way this is real. No way. And was still surprised when I found out later it wasn't real. I was hooked.
