Just got screwed in a battle by lag. It was so bad I got attack warnings for charges from Pokemon that hadn't even come out yet.
Hopefully you Texans can do some Seattle raids with me.
This home-raid thing would be good for me, especially if we can get a TexAgs team together. I have never done a raid over lv3.

Encountered some incredibly bad glitches today...some in my favor, some not.
First, an opponent was battling normally and then their Pokmon just stopped. I wasn't sure if it was an issue on both ends or not, but ended up knocking his entire team out with my swampert barely taking any damage.
Second, I played against an opponent running dialga who was gifted 3 shields. I'd heard about this glitch, but had never encountered it and it was INFURIATING. I was able to win by 1HP since my Giratina lucked out and got the boost, but was absolutely shocked when he got a shield to block my hydro pump for a third time.

I did a simple raid for a Graveler Alola. I used a Venusaur and knocked his HP down to 0 pretty easily. However, as soon as it went 0 he gained 50% back.
This happened twice with my Ven and then the Ben was knocked out. My next mon ran out of time when Grav had about 2% left. Therefore, I took nearly 200% of his power down.

I will never understand this game
My alt account has routinely been going 4-1 in battles using Alolan Muk, Snorlax, and Gardevoir, with those 1 L's typically coming when I get matched up with people using all Legendaries. No glitches or connection issues whatsoever.
My main account is routinely going 1-4 using Alolan Muk, Swampert, and Gardevoir, using the same phone and wifi as my alt account, every match has some sort of connection issue/glitch/delay, or an opponent will get 3 charge moves in a row, or 3 shields in a match.
It's comical at this point

I actually got up off my ass and raided the last 2 weeks. Met some nice people.
Although the thought of 15-20 people online taking down a level 5 raid is fun because it doesn't matter how bad your lineup is, the boss will still go down.
They might have restrictions tho. Such as a limit of only 2 or 3 level 5 raids per day.

I've been drifting like mad the last hour or so. Normally my house is a drift-free zone. I was even able to get into the church gym a few blocks away that's always fenced off. Like, I'm gold in every gym for 2 miles, except I'm barely bronze in this one.

Also, wasted my raid pass today. Was going to hit a cranidos, but with 30 seconds left in the lobby I saw a guy holding a baby and walking down the street in the heat of the day. This was around our office, so kind of an industrial area. I knew he'd be going aways wherever he was headed, because there was nothing around he could be taking a kid to. I had a carseat in the back, so I said **** it, exited the raid, pulled out of the parking lot I was in, and offered him a ride. Turns out the guy was going about 3-4 miles to drop his daughter off at his girlfriend's (her mom's) house before he went to work. I didn't make it back in time to hit the cranidos, but I'm glad I gave the guy a lift. That would have sucked for his little girl. She was 11 months and cute as a button.

Couldn't leave 'em hanging when I'm not doing anything better, and I couldn't just watch him walk with a baby in the heat. It was only 80ish, but I know little kids can get overheated fast. 15 minutes out of my day was nothing to me, but to him and his little girl it meant a lot. I wish it was something anyone would do, but unfortunately I think that's probably not the case.
I decided to stop trying to have the best team and going 2-3 most of the time sometimes 3-2 and instead build fun teams. I made an all shiny dark squad, legendary bird team, and all grass team. The dark team actually won a few (Ttar, Weavile, Darkrai)
I forgot that the gym is right across the street from some rivals on another team. They kicked me out pretty quickly, maybe even from their couch.jm94 said:

Faced a team of Cresselia, Registeel, and Giratina 3x in a row. So frustrating.
I haven't seen a single Registeel in Ultra league yet.

I keep not powering up my 13/15/15 because of the candy cost. With a second charge move, it'd be 341 candy.
I see Giratina about 90% of the time. I really have nothing to go against him effectively. So, last night I decide to put in a Lapras just so I can put a little damage on that big flying centipede! What happens afterwards, not only do I not see a Giratina for 15 straight battles, but I start seeing Lapras' in almost every battle.
This morning, I go back to my normal setup, and yes...you guessed it...back to seeing Giratina in every set!

Dragon, Ice, Fairy, Dark are the 4 options you have for Giratina. It's tough but I've seen some creative counters like:
Charizard with Dragon Claw
Mamoswine with all ice moves
Cloyster will all ice moves
Alolan Muk
Sceptile with Dragon Claw
Scizor with Night Slash
Snorlax with Lick and Outrage
Feraligatr with Ice Fang, Crunch and Ice Beam
and the obvious Clefable and Togekiss
Charizard with Dragon Claw
Mamoswine with all ice moves
Cloyster will all ice moves
Alolan Muk
Sceptile with Dragon Claw
Scizor with Night Slash

Hadn't thought about Feraligatr with that move set. I don't have one with the community day move so just deemed him worthless, but I'm gonna try that out. He's my favorite mon so that'd be sick if it worked well with that move set.
Another 1-4 session, with 2 of the losses coming from random freezes where my opponent switched a Pokemon, the game froze, then came back with my Pokemon being knocked out and zero damage given to the opponent. A third loss was just because the match randomly ended.
Just had a very sorry battle... My lead is an alolan muk, and my opponent's was a giratina-a. He pulled it almost immediately and threw out a torterra. I hit it with a sludge wave, and he didn't block. It one shotted his torterra. He quit.
Got a landorus encounter. It's great except the ***hole won't stay in a ball. I'm down 50 ultra balls so far. I don't think this should be statistically possibly.
I've heard similar stories on Reddit about how difficult he is to catch. Sounds the worst so far. Good thing I don't win 4 battles often lol
Finally got the SOB... I moved to great balls to stop depleting my ultra supply. Got him on like the 5th one.

No ****. I was using them and landing great and excellent curve balls. Still wouldn't stay. I've caught other Pokemon people complained about being next to impossible, like metagross, with ease on the first or second throw with pineapps, but this guy was a PITA.
