Have a bunch of old .dv (video tape) files i want to convert to .mov or .mp4 format for use in premiere pro.

Anyone have app recco that will allow you to do this in bulk?

Handbrake works with DV files. If you have a reasonably new Nvidia video card or Intel processor, it supports accelerated h.264 encoding.

I've dealt with a bunch of old .dv files from tape transfers, and bulk conversion is way easier than it sounds. I usually go with FFmpeg for thisonce you set the command, you can convert an entire folder overnight with consistent results. Quality stays solid if you convert to something like MP4 (H.264), and the file size drops a lot compared to raw DV.

If you don't feel like using command-line tools, https://www.movavi.com/image-converter/ is something I've checked out when helping friends who wanted a simpler interface. It's useful for quick batch jobs when you just want things done without tweaking settings too muc
