I bought a G4 Cube even though I had a Power Mac G3 that was about a year old.

As a computer support professional, I've amassed an unreasonable collection of peripherals, cables, and other miscellanea that I will never use, never give away, and never throw away. I'm proud in that it now takes up only two tubs in my garage, but that's space we can use to store un-needed baby crap (yet another story).

Most frustrating waste is my wife will still periodically pick up a used DVD, just in case she wants to watch it, and it wasn't on a streaming service we had at the time.

I know that these are only $1-$4 expenses, but in the past 4-5 years, she really only wanted to watch maybe 1 of those movies, and she decided to rent it from Amazon Prime because it was easier than finding the DVD and playing it.
Of course it is, but she'll still try to find that gem.

Juuuuust finally tossed my box of odd cables and connectors. Been accruing them for bout 20 years at this point I think. I would be stunned if I even knew what 90% went to anymore.

It was cathartic though really.
