Going to be homeschooling our 10 year old son this spring, and want to introduce him into programming/logic. Anyone had any success with specific resources/languages/websites introducing their kids to computer science/programming lessons?

Freecodecamp is great, and there are tons of videos on Youtube that they can use with it. I also like www.codewithmosh.com.

My kids learned Scratch in 7th grade.

It uses puzzle piece code blocks that snap together to determine order.

If this, then that
While X, loop Y times

This is a great resource. You can also view other projects and see how they are made. It does an amazing job of helping with problem solving and critical thinking.

I've heard good things about Minecraft for Education.

My son learned some basic python summer after sixth. Definitely a good age to introduce them to programming. There are plenty of kits to make games and stuff.

As mentioned above, scratch is great program for kids to get into coding. If they're also into Legos/building you may want to look into Lego Spike Prime kit. It'll allow you to choose and implement robotic applications quick and easily. I coach my kids First Lego League robotics team and we've had a blast this season. It's great watching kids take ownership and pride in their work while having fun and geeking out!

Do you do any coding and/or electronics yourself?

In addition to the learning a programming language like the examples posted, get a microcontroller and build things.

The ESP32's are very cheap and you can typically run CircuitPython (very similar to Python) right out of the box. With a few clicks you can also run Arduino (C++ variant).

Adafruit is awesome. They sell everything you need and give you sample code to get started. Everything from wearables & costuming to automation and using sensors. The products and how to info is all there.

Its always fun to build something.
