My wife wants to start a small consulting business and is exploring different web platforms. What is a good domain host? So far she's looked at Square Space and Go Daddy, but is there another one or a better host? TIA

I haven't used it beyond a personal capacity, but cloudflare has been great for my needs and seems to have a good reputation in the market. Pretty cheap domains, too.

Go Daddy starts cheap then get expensive for the subsequent years.

Additionally, they seem to get spammers to sign up which then gets your email domain blacklisted occasionally as well, since they are from the same pool. This doesn't seem to happen as often as it used to, so maybe they have fixed this part.

I would have customers who could receive emails for years all of a sudden say my email was winding up in their spam, which makes no sense as the system should be smart enough to know that if you are sending and receiving an email to someone, it is obviously not a spammer.

Yup, what is she trying to do? If she just needs a webhost there's lots of great options, but it sounds like she needs to create a site. In that case something like Squarespace is a good starter platform, the drawback is that there's no way to easily move content off the platform if she eventually wants to go somewhere else.

I'd avoid GoDaddy, my old host was bought out by them and everything from customer service to ease of use has dropped off dramatically.

She ended up going with Squarespace since it seems easiest to use.

Website will have information, and need the ability to blog, book and pay for consultations.
