Didn't see any posts about this game, but just went from early access to 1.0 launch, today. Anyone give it a chance during the early access? Any players or anyone with thoughts on it?

Looks to be yet another ARPG that actually gives us a better experience than D4. I'll be jumping in, now. Will be curious to see if anyone else is.

I'm sold after very little time watching it and no time playing it. Looks like it's D3.5 with massive improvements Diablo fans have been asking for.

I played about 1.5 hours last night. Te spell graphics are awesome and i love the loot system. I also enjoy the skills having more options. I'm rolling a warlock for my first go through. And for the cost($35), its a great buy.

I have over 70 hours in it from Early Access. I've followed it since close to day 1 back in 2017 but waited until about 2 weeks ago to finally play it since it was basically 1.0 and I wanted to finally get at least a feel for things before full launch. Just couldn't hold out all the way to 1.0.

It's awesome. It's somewhere in between Diablo IV and PoE. It's basically a love letter to the isometric ARPGs we've all played, it's literally made by a bunch of people who met on Reddit and decided to try and make a dream come true. A lot of them with no game development history. It does some innovative things like their new itemization faction system, but for the most part it just borrows a lot of the best from previous games of the genre.

The itemization and crafting are both fantastic. Itemization feels way more D2 and gameplay closer to D3, so it's borrowing from the best parts of those 2 games. They have 15 pretty cool masteries to choose from too.

I rolled a Warlock on cycle last night and got her to 18, absolutely loved her. The most noticeable changes from the latest early access build to today is the visuals. They made a huge improvement to the spell effects and the lighting system. The game looks noticeably better. And the UI is really cleaned up too. I love the look of the items and their stats now.

They've had close to 200K people trying to play online so the servers have struggled which is to be expected with online games. The dev team is extremely transparent and keeping people in the look so don't get discouraged at some server down time now. Highly recommend!

Is it actually social? Worst part about D4 was the lack of social aspect when compared to past games.

Definitely more social than D4 but that's not saying much. I think there's matchmaking or some sort of group finding in the game but I'm honestly not positive about that because I've got 6 buddies I'm playing with so haven't needed to look for any groups on my own because they're always on no-lifers.

Been enjoying my play through. Simply having a loot filter has been so freaking great.

Yes, the loot filter is such a nice QoL item.

I'm officially hooked on this one. Diablo 2 is my all time favorite and this pulls enough from D2 and the pros from other ARPGs to be just right up my alley. It's not perfect, and they probably released it a little earlier as 1.0 than they should have, but I love it. The dev team is very transparent about what they working on, and this is only going to get better over time. It's an Isometric ARPG game made by Isometric ARPG fans.

I sunk around 200 hours into D4 and while I got some enjoyment out of it, I left it overall disappointed in an "I'll come back and check out where it's at once they attempt to fix itemization" state. I'm right at 100 hours into Last Epoch and enjoying it significantly more than I ever did D4. I've got my 1.0 Warlock up to level 75 and she just absolutely shreds the end game content so far.

I've been grinding my necro up slowly and am about done leveling to respec to a better build. Need something less clicky. Lots of fun though. The game play is great. Just needs a little polishing on graphics IMHO.

Did you play early access at all? It looks significantly better now than it did right before launch so I wouldn't expect it to improve much visually. I think it looks great now, especially the new spell effects, but I'm playing with all settings on ultimate. How much do you have the settings cranked?

I've been playing a sudo hammerdin build. It's been fun and hits hard, but takes a second to get going. I tried really hard not to role a mage first because I always role a caster first, but watching how dominant they are made me regret the pally.

I rolled a lighting javelin pally for my playthrough with a buddy, and it clears just as fast as his mage.

I may have to switch to that. We'll see once I see get full hammerdin in action. Like I said, it hits really hard, but the hammers take a couple of seconds to get going.

I made a Paladin in beta and he absolutely shredded. Got him up to 89 before 1.0 went live. I was using Judgement with the passive that eliminated cooldown so you can just hammer smash whenever as long you had the mana for it. I was using Rive as my left click, there's a nice affix that leeches a bunch of mana with Rive. I used lunge to dart around the map and just hammer smash with judgement and leech mana with rive on left click. It worked really well and was super fun. I've heard Pally is even better now the healing hands skill tree, that wasn't available in early access.
