I have over 70 hours in it from Early Access. I've followed it since close to day 1 back in 2017 but waited until about 2 weeks ago to finally play it since it was basically 1.0 and I wanted to finally get at least a feel for things before full launch. Just couldn't hold out all the way to 1.0.
It's awesome. It's somewhere in between Diablo IV and PoE. It's basically a love letter to the isometric ARPGs we've all played, it's literally made by a bunch of people who met on Reddit and decided to try and make a dream come true. A lot of them with no game development history. It does some innovative things like their new itemization faction system, but for the most part it just borrows a lot of the best from previous games of the genre.
The itemization and crafting are both fantastic. Itemization feels way more D2 and gameplay closer to D3, so it's borrowing from the best parts of those 2 games. They have 15 pretty cool masteries to choose from too.
I rolled a Warlock on cycle last night and got her to 18, absolutely loved her. The most noticeable changes from the latest early access build to today is the visuals. They made a huge improvement to the spell effects and the lighting system. The game looks noticeably better. And the UI is really cleaned up too. I love the look of the items and their stats now.
They've had close to 200K people trying to play online so the servers have struggled which is to be expected with online games. The dev team is extremely transparent and keeping people in the look so don't get discouraged at some server down time now. Highly recommend!
