My company currently runs windows servers primarily. We use VisualCron for scheduling batch jobs. We just learned that the new owners of VC are trying to kill it by exponentially increasing the maintenance costs. We also have a couple Linux servers running Rundeck.
I'm not involved in administration of the scheduling software, but I am responsible for the jobs that run on it, so I don't know a lot about the capabilities. We have discussed the option of switching to Rundeck on the Windows servers, but the latest version requires Server 2019+, which not all of our servers are at.
Now the question: can we install Rundeck on Server A that is 2019+, and have it execute scripts on Server B that is not on 2019?
Thanks!
