New laptop. Plenty of them on sale for under or at 1k with upgraded specs.

The comparable GPU tier in the RTX4 lineup to the 3060 would be the 4070.

Its opposite, a 3070m beats a 4060m. A 4060m vs 3060m, the 4060m beats it handily. 25-30% better on average.

I know a 4060 beats a 3060, they are completely different generations. What I'm saying is they shifted the numbers in the new 40xx series so that the 4070 is the equitable tier to the 3060. I'm not talking about direct comparison in performance, but the tier of power within the specific generation.

Ah, my fault then. Yea, that's definitely true. They kneecapped the 4k series heavily. But a 4060 is still a good buy on the mobile platform for even the heavy hitter games up to 1440p. I picked up the bestbuy deal last month with a 3k oled screen and a 4060. Its gorgeous and runs everything i threw at it without issue. Its even on sale for $50 less than i paid if one is in stock near you.
