Group I work with doesn't want to use Zoom so we're using Google Meet. We've needed to share a video a few times but the person sharing has a black screen when they begin the video. Audio is fine. No video. How do we fix this?

We're all over 65 so I'm sure it's old man error but advice on a fix is appreciated. Thanks!

Some tips from my time using Google meet:

1) Before trying to share your screen, make sure that your camera is on, we ran into an issue with that quite a few times when I used it

2) Make sure you're signed in on Google (gmail) when you use meet and not just using a code to join. (You will still use the code, but being signed in helps)

3) If neither of these work, have whoever needs to share their screen be host of the meeting. They can either start the meeting or use the "give host privileges" under participants.

Also, if you're trying to share a YouTube video, or something similar, it won't show. I'm pretty sure that the video will need to be downloaded to your computer to show.
