This is a Samsung tv we found in a storage locker. Before we moved it, it looked to have a little bubble effect on the top portion of the screen. Even though we moved it on a flat cart, loaded and unloaded it carefully -- it seemed to get a lot worse after moving it. There are bubbles like places, scuff looking places, etc. The screen never touched a surface at any point during the move.

We have the one connect box, but we are missing the actual one connect cord, so I can't test it.
Is this a film that needs to be peeled off? A film that is permanent, but can replace or is this tv pretty much done for?

There is nothing cracked, I just wanted to clarify that. There is no actual bubbling, as the tv screen feels fine. It just looks like bubbling to the eye. Also, some of what you see are fingerprints from moving.

That model should ship with protective film. You need to determine if it's the protective film or the pixelated film.

It's either supposed to be there or not. If it comes off easy and it's supposed to it's fine to take off, if it comes off easy and it's not supposed to it was going to come off anyway, if it's hard to take off it's not supposed to and the TV isn't long for this world anyway.

I'm amazed at how many people don't peel off the film on tvs. Especially on tvs at restaurants... that plastic is begging to be pulled off around the borders.

I've been THIS close on many occasions to standing on a chair and taking it off for them. Really messes with my ocd!
