Can I have YouTube TV at a TV in my office as well as use it at my house? I know that Hulu Live wouldn't allow this...they wanted two separate accounts for the IP addresses. I'm not trying to share my password....would just like to use at my house and office without two separate accounts.

I haven't ever used mine at a TV in my office but I do use it on my office computer occasionally. Never had an issue. The FAQ just says you need to sign in from home at least once every 3 months to keep account active. It does not say each device needs to be logged in from home

Hulu doesn't care about computer use...they don't like when you have two separate TV's going at different locations. I was curious if YouTube was a stickler about this as well.

Yes, you can do that. In fact, I share my YouTube TV account with my father's Google account, and we can both be logged in at the same time and have our own separate profiles.

YouTube TV cares more about the number of simultaneous streams than they do about the location. You can only have 3 streams going on at any point in time regardless of where they are.

I use YTTV everywhere on the same account and it doesn't matter. Live on a plane at 36k feet, at home, at work, different states.

Same... I use YTTV everywhere. It's the main reason why I have a subscription. I've spent plenty of time catching up on office work on the weekend while watching Football.

The only issues I've ever run across is when I'm recording a live game on a local channel like Fox. If I'm out of town, I cannot watch that recording until I'm back home. Must be some sort of weird licensing deal with local channels. I can watch the game live from the local affiliate, I just can't watch my recording.

I dont know if this is true. I share an account with my parents. I often get a "we've noticed you aren't in the same area as your home zip code" and you have to manually tell it you are traveling. It usually works fine.

True, but that's because of the local stations like someone mentioned above. Location matters for individual stream content (local stations, and the platform does not work internationally). But I do not believe i matters for two streams in different locations.

If you buy the 4K package you get unlimited streams at your home IP address but only 3 away from home.

I have YouTubeTV. I've used my account from POC when I was there fishing, while people were using it back home and my son regularly uses it in his apartment in CS. All that is legit according to their license agreement.

I do this at home and our small business. I use YTTV as mentioned above - my house, work, traveling, at in-laws, etc. My college kids are on my account too; you can invite other users and everyone has different profiles. I highly recommend a separate profile for your business tv if you want to keep your shows, recordings, etc, separate or private or whatever.

It does make you manually indicate you are traveling from time to time and you have to login from your home area once every 90 days. I don't know exactly what qualifies as "home "area", so as long as your work in the same general broadcast area I don't think you'll have any trouble at all.

For my kids, they either make sure to login from our house from time to time or I have a personal VPN they can connect to as well for the minute to login and then disconnect...

Question for you guys who have had YTTV and already watched games on it. I had planned on watching the game this Saturday in a hotel room, but the hunting group wants to grill steaks out at the lease (no TV there).

I looked at the app and it shows ABC, so is it gonna be on YTTV this weekend?

This might be a stupid question, but once I'm at the lease, I'm stuck there and I want to figure it out now.

Thx

YTTV knows your home area... for me, it's the Austin area. I have all Aggie & Cowboy football games set to record automatically, and when they play on local channels, it will record them from the local Austin affiliate.

The only issue I've ever run into is that I cannot watch that Austin area recording when I'm out of town. I can watch the game live no problem... YTTV will let you watch the local affiliate of wherever you are... but if I'm out hunting and I miss the first 30 minutes of the game, I cannot pull up my Austin area recording to see what I missed.

It's been a while and I'm not sure if you can manually force it to also record using the out of town affiliate. I'm thinking that it might only let you record local channels in your home area. And I'm pretty sure this does not affect games that play on ESPN, SEC Network, NFL Network, etc.
