I will be working online using zoom.
I bought an HP laptop last year. I have had a problem, though -- it is pretty picky about which OS I can use. I wanted SuSE LInux, but when that didn't work, I also tried Ubuntu and Fedora. The only one that worked was Fedora.Scruffy said:
All my company uses is HP (and a few developers use mac)
I've had no issues with HP.
We recently got Dell Latitude 5430's at work. They are freaking terrible. Brand new, battery lasts 3 hours, max. Large spreadsheets crash it, etc.dubi said:
Personally I just buy a Dell with the 4 year warranty. Then when it breaks i rinse and repeat.
We use Dell's at work so i just buy them for home off the Outlet.
I have a 15" XPS laptop and it is fine.Quote:

Their prices are rarely competitive and returns/refunds processes are some of the worst in the industry in my experience. Almost as bad as the old buy.com which set the standard for rock bottom. Again, only my experience.lazuras_dc said:
I always would get my stuff from https://www.newegg.com/
It shouldn't take more than a week to be reasonably efficient, just ask yourself "where should this logically be" and you're right about 90% of the time.Papa Joe said:
Thanks for the idea on Macbook, I have heard from many that its great but I am not used to it and would take time for me to learn how to share files and operate it efficiently.
Looking at Lenovo, HP, or Dell?
