Shocked that they kept the price at $50/$60 for it.

Gameplay not looking good as usual, going to pass on this one
Got my hopes up that it would have souls like combat but that leak was wrong

What about "Remaster of TES IV Oblivion" would make you think for a second that it would suddenly become a Souls-like?

Will it still have that scene where an army of like 5 people cheer for you?

Honestly, at least they're better than Draugr Cave 1, 2, 3, 4.... 178, 179, 180...MGS said:
The oblivion gates are just as tedious as I remembered.

Still haven't seen a solid breakdown of how the leveling has been altered. Only that it has been. The original f'ing sucked and is a game breaker for me after Skyrim. Anyone into it and can give a brief a description on it?
Nice. Thanks for that. Figures I should have checked there.Artorias said:https://en.uesp.net/wiki/Oblivion: Oblivion_Remastered_Changes (remove the space between Oblivion: Oblivion, TexAgs tries to make it an emoji)Eliminatus said:

The leveling system has been overhauled to resolve problems that occurred under the original game's system.
- All skills now contribute to increasing the player character's level, just as in Skyrim. However, Major Skills increase level much faster than Minor Skills, making them the most efficient way to level up.
- Attribute increases are no longer determined by the specific skills the player has raised. Instead, a new system has been implemented:
- When the player levels up, they are given 12 virtues to distribute amongst their attributes to increase them.
- Each virtue assigned to an attribute increases it by a single point, however Luck requires 4 virtues to increase by a single point.
- Up to 5 virtues can be assigned to a single attribute, and only up to 3 different attributes can be increased per level up.
- Health increases from increasing the Endurance attribute are now applied retroactively.
- Enemy scaling as the player increases their level has been adjusted.

Confused by this... You can play that exact same playstyle in oblvion. You just can't dual wield two different spells or weapons.canadiaggie said:
Sort of a minor quibble, but one addition from Skyrim I wish they ported back into Oblivion was dual wielding. My preferred playstyle in Skyrim - when I resisted the urge to make Stealth Archer # 500 for my character - was berserker battlemage - weapon in one hand, destruction spell in the other.
The difficulty settings scaling is completely jacked, resulting in huge spikes between one setting to the next. There is a mod available that smooths out the difficulty scaling.Lathspell said:
Anyone else playing also think the Skeleton are overtuned?
I'm playing a battlemage type character wielding a two handed sword. I went to clear out the first place on Master difficulty. Each attack I make barely seems to remove 5% HP from enemies. However, my summoned skeleton 2-3 shots enemies. The same is the case for enemy skeletons 2-3 shotting me.
It's basically been me summoning a skeleton, and then just hit the enemy with my weapon to get some experience for Blades skill. I do absolutely no damage.
I always forget how I hate Elder Scrolls difficulty scaling. All they do is make enemies bullet sponges by buffing their HP and decreasing your damage to nothing. That's the laziest form of difficulty scaling.

I love the oblivion mechanic allowing me to use a two handed weapon or sword/shield and still cast spells.
