Don't know what's happened but instead of the normal 2-3x per month, I'm not getting 2-3 per day.

I did silence all calls from non-contact numbers, but I still get a notification that I was called.

Anyway to put a stop to this? Yes I'm on the do not call list but we know that law has no teeth and authorities don't care.

New Law, anyone caught spam calling has to use a rotary dial phone to randomly call numbers (not real phone numbers, just random numbers that come up on a screen) for 1-year, 8hrs/day, 7-days a week. If they get a number wrong one week, clock for that week resets.

Also, identity thieves should be put in pairs on a small rubber dinghy in the middle of the pacific with a fishing pole, glass of water (no lid), a granola bar and a revolver with one bullet. If they make it back, they can rejoin society. If not, oh well.

I know you said you're on the DNC list but have you double checked? I was too but it expired at some point and I started getting hammered with spam calls. Reregistered and they went away quickly.

I don't think numbers expire from the list anymore.

I've noticed this too, and I'm on the DNC list still. Hmmmmm.

Same. It probably started a week or two ago.

I think it's cyclical. I was getting hammered a few months ago, now back to nothing. I expect now that I've posted this, that it'll start again.

I too started getting slammed by spam callers in the last several weeks. I have started getting 4-5 spam calls a day where I used to get that many in a week.

It's a bummer, but these spammers are spoofing numbers and ignoring the DNC list. Literally nothing you can do other than ignore any call from someone who isn't in your contacts list.

I just turn on block unknown callers. If it someone I actually know they will just leave a message or text me.

I agree with this. Mine seem to do it this way.

For some reason I find myself almost more annoyed with the constant spam texts I get. Some seem like real businesses. Maybe I'm just an old, but cannot imagine that those actually produce anything.

I've been getting 4-5 per day for months now. And I also get 4-5 texts per day from recruiters trying to get me to go to work in call centers or someone such.

And then all the Chinese honey pots are really on my jock in my LinkedIn inbox.

Casting one last lifeline out there -

Samsung Ultra25 - call settings block unknown callers ON
Caller ID and Spam Protection [unavailable] - I see this all over the Samsung website but don't see this in my call settings.

I'm average 40-50 spam calls - all from 832* numbers. My Pixel 7 auto forwarded them and my phone didn't even ring. But my phone rings nonstop. Honestly thinking about dumping this Samsung phone entirely. This is chinese water torture at this point

If ANY of you Samsung users have any suggestions, would be greatly appreciated. Going to ATT during lunch

I strongly distrust text messages and generally ignore them.
