I've got a new Lenova laptop that will not extend to 1 particular monitor in my house. It will work with 4 other monitors that we own, no problem. But when trying to hook up with the offending monitor, no luck. I've tried different cables, all 3 inputs on the monitor, looked for settings to change, etc but no joy. My other computers (2 different desktops and an AIO computer) all can connect to the offending monitor, no problem. But not the new laptop.

When I try it, the laptop does give the audible ding, as though it's trying to connect. But I never get a picture. And looking at display properties on the laptop it nevers sees a 2nd monitor. My only thought is mybe it's an HDCP issue? I don't know.

Did you update your various video and hardware drivers? After you plug in, did you go to the wired display settings and choose the correct one?

Yes. Even though it works on 3 of the 4 monitors I tried it on.

Check screen refresh rate on laptop and make sure its set to one the monitor can support. Had that happen before on one of my old pcs when i got a new monitor.

Bingo, that did it. Strange because all my other sources are on the same refresh rate as the laptop was. I went ahead and changed it on all devices.
