This is so dumb. I have a big 65" Sony, 8 years old. Bricked. Won't turn on, won't do anything.
I looked at the recycling website and the only place near me accepting TVs is Best Buy, and they charge $59.99 and ONLY if you have another TV you bought there delivered to you. If you want them to come pick up your TV for recycling without purchasing anything they charge $199.99. They do not allow in-store dropoffs for anything over 50". Insanity.
My trash company bars people from throwing away TVs.
