NBC local channel is non existent in my zip code. I called YouTube tv support and they claim that the Bills Ravens game is out of network in my area. Which doesn't make sense because my across the street neighbor and friend two blocks over in the same zip code are currently streaming the game. Is there a work around for the playback area? Or has anyone had to deal with this? A little concerned since the Ags play on NBC against ND this weekend. TIAb

I have the NBC and NBC Sports apps downloaded, log in with YTTV credentials and that's worked for me.

I tried and it is still telling me that it's out of market. It's a bit frustrating with the YouTube tv customer service saying the same thing and not having an answer for others in town getting the game.

Get an OTA antenna just in case Youtube doesn't want to fix your issue before saturday

The out of market thing sounds like a generic answer they're going to give to anybody about a sporting event not airing. That doesn't make sense as to why the entire NBC channel would not be showing up.

You should be able to log into your youtube TV account on a computer and check your home location settings, see if you can update it.

Which market are you in? Trying to determine if your NBC station is owned by the network itself or is an affiliate, and if so, who owns it.

KCEN is owned by Tegna, which owns a ton of other local stations around the state/country. That's odd that it shows as unavailable since you are squarely in the middle of the TV market. Do you have an option to temporarily change your viewing area to DFW or Austin for the game? FYI, DFW's NBC station is owned by the network directly, so it for sure be a go if it is an option in your zip code.

With any other streaming service it always puts me into the DFW market, but I went with YouTube tv since it gave me the Waco market. But I'm second guessing it at this point. You can only change your zip code twice per year in YTT systems. What's also crazy is that my bedroom tv has a playback area of Houston and I get games in there. But the living room tv and other bedrooms are on Waco Temple Bryan and do not get games.

That makes no sense. Both TVs are logged in to the same account and share the same internet connection? I could see things getting wonky if you had two separate internet connections with different IP geolocations. Even then, when I travel with my Roku stick and log in to YouTubeTV, the first thing it asks me is if I live there permanently or am I traveling. I select "traveling" and then I have the local stations from whatever city I'm in.

You're telling me lol. Same internet network and everything. I might try a Roku stick in my smart tv as a work around and see if that works.

For Saturday specifically I don't think there is a concern for out of network. ND is a national broadcast for NBC. Might Google to verify that but I that's correct.

I'm in the Waco area, this thread prompted me to verify I get KCEN on YouTube TV. I do.

Did you get NFL games on NBC specifically on Thursday night and Sunday night? The Cowboys streamed on Telemundo in Spanish for me, and the Ravens/Bills on Sunday never even showed in my channel line up. Right now I can see the NBC channel in my lineup. But when they claimed the games were "out of market" the channel didn't even show up in the line up and I couldn't even search for it.

Can't answer that. This is the first time I've tuned into NBC since I caught small parts of ND games last year.

Have you logged into your account on a computer and set your home area and viewing area to be the same? If one is set device is set to one area and another device is set to another area, I think it can create problems at a certain point.

It's strange that the Bills/Ravens game would have been out of market for literally anyone in the country trying to watch the game on NBC. It was a national game in an exclusive time slot with no other alternative channels.
