A group of private equity firms and a fund affiliated with the Saudi government has purchased Electronic Arts for a record $210 per share. The $55 billion dollar deal is the largest leveraged buyout in history.

The funny thing is all any is talking about online is that one of the other buyers is one of the companies run by Trumps son in law

I'm reading quotes from unnamed BioWare employees concerned that the purchase might spell the studio's doom, given the generally progressive stories it likes to tell. Personally, I'd think they should be more concerned because they haven't had a hit game in more than a decade…

Meh...

There are so many small studios making such amazing games right now. Looking at their list of games (had to search to remind myself), I can honestly say they could trash every single one of their titles and I wouldn't really care.

I do kind of wish the US required foreign companies to partner with local companies, the way Japan does it.
