what's the go to for a universal remote. Want to control TV, Roku and Receiver.

Currently it is running off of Control 4 (previous owner install).

I've used a Logitech Harmony in the past. These days I have everything hooked up with HDMI CEC and all I need is the ATV remote. Running sound through sound bars though.

I think the harmony is the current go-to. Many years ago I couldn't get one to work worth a crap with my theatre system so I went full bore on a URC Remote and learned how to program it. The dealers used to send you the software so I still have it. I've been using two versions of the URC remote since then. It is NOT user friendly and if you don't like nearly learning programming then it's not going to be for you.

Logitech has discontinued the Harmony and reduced support. You could probably buy a used one and it would work at least for a while. Sofa Baton is supposedly the new go to.

I love my Harmony remotes. Bought a spare remote & hub on ebay a few years ago just in case my primary one died.

Can't believe Logitech stopped selling them. And surprised the service is still running over 4 years since they stopped selling.

Thanks all!

Ordered a Sofabaton X1S. I'll let you know what I think once it's setup.

I hardly rely on IR anymore so I haven't experimented with it much, but my Aqara hub is also an IR blaster. Can then control from the phone app.

I think HDMI-CEC (Consumer Electronics Control) and the move to streaming for everything has eliminated the need for universal remotes for a lot of people.

And I'm guessing there are fewer people these days who have old school AV receiver setups that require input changes which added complexity. I know I don't have mine setup after we moved. I opted to just throw up the Sonos setup for now which I can control through my phone.

But maybe HDMI-CEC precludes need for a universal even with a more complicated AV setup? I don't know.
