Looking for home WiFi solution - Starlink?

We have an out-building at our home where I work and have a setup to watch TV. The problem is, it's well beyond the range of our house's WiFi.

Among other potential solutions, I had considered switching to Starlink. I assume that I can just get another station installed on my barn and have two points of access. Is that accurate?

Also, in this dream scenario, could I bring a device with me to the hunting cabin for use while out there?

You mean just buying a complete second hardware setup, dish+router? There's no reason you can't do that, but you will also have to pay for monthly service for each of them.

Yes, you could take the 2nd setup with you to go hunting.

Home Depot currently has the Starlink Mini Kit on sale for $230.

You could try to simply boost your home's WIFI to your out-house with a radio relay dish.

Interesting - so I'd set up the antenna at the barn to point back to the house? Wild.

Youre looking at a wifi solution not a couple starlink satellites.

Depending on your distance, it shouldnt be very difficult.

Actually have stalking at the ranch and run extenders for other buildings

Starlink sells an extender that might work for you

It's like running a wireless Ethernet cable. It broadcasts/receives. So one at the barn, one at the house, point them at each other.

Depending on the distance to your builiding and obstructions, you could just blast a directional wifi signal over there with something like the U7 Outdoor. Then you wouldn't need a bridge setup with equipment on both ends.

If you do need a bridge setup, take a look at the airMax NanoStation 5AC Loco. You'll need 2 of them and 2 PoE injectors (one for each side). Then you would need a switch (if connecting multiple devices) or wifi access point at the remote location.

ubiquity has a few point to point options. Linus tech tips reviewed them on you tube. that's what I would try first before running a buried fiber cable. the last thing I would do is get a second internet service.
