I have one of those in the "junk drawer" in the kitchen. It's the most used tool I own.

Craftsman's stuff is no longer "Made in the USA": That doesn't necessarily mean its junk, but it's def not what it used to be. For tools, spend what you can afford on the tools you intend to use the most. Spend a little more on stuff like a solid set of sockets and a driver. Stuff happens and sometimes tools break, so go with a brand that has a good warranty and a someone nearby to service them. I like Gearwrench. Can be picked up online from Amazon, sold in stores like NAPA and TSC. Napa will warranty them. Kobalt from Lowes is decent, they also warranty their tools. Unless you make a living using your tools, you don't need Snap-on. Matco, Mac, or any of the other high end stuff unless you want it. Hell I know guys that work with their tools every day that still have some Harbor freight stuff in their box for that once in a while time they need it.

When I attended night school (long after A&M) for millwright training, the instructor devoted a whole lecture to 'chemical tools'.

This was at the top of the list:

It can save you much aggravation, I assure you.

And when it can't, make sure you have a BFH in the toolbox too.

Be sure to check Craigslist for all your toolbox needs...there are evidently good deals on slightly used boxes out there, according to OB lore

Ran across this 5gal bucket backpack.

Have absolutely no need for this, but nevertheless have a strong compulsion to buy it.

Hock shop for quality ratchets and wrenches. I have Blue Point, the Snap On sock off brand. Quality wrenches available there occasionally.
