My cedar allergies have been on another level this year. I've always dealt with them, but they've been manageable. I do most of my hunting up in the Lampasas/Burnet area and the cedar has been so bad that I've barely been able to hunt this year without being knocked on my butt for a day or two.

Has it been exceptionally bad for anyone else?

Mine just got bad today. Never had it until I moved to SA and spent 6 years after moving w/o it but the last 46years it's regular as clockwork. Below 12K ppm it doesn't bother me but it must be sky high today. Allegra D or the HEB clone works great.

I was wondering what had been driving these headaches for the past week. I usually get sinus congestion but this week has just been headache after headache. Never experienced something like this before. I say we bring back wildfire to the hill country.

HEB also sells oral drops called Cedar Fever. I've been using this the past few years. No problem with cedar, so far.

Bumping. Lived NW of Austin for 7 years. First 6 I was fine and laughed at the immunocompromised peasants. This year, haven't been able to go outside since 12/30.

Isa a neti pot every day and its amazing how better you feel irrigating everything that you are allergic to out of your nasal cavity

Dont know if its because he ran my panel or not but my allergy Dr friend said take an extra Allegra but Benadryl and Zyrtec wont work for me and the Cedar 40 year allergy Dr in Austin btw

Steep 2 cups of juniper leaves in a quart of boiling water for 10 minutes. Refrigerate. Take a drink every morning until it is gone which will be about 30 days.

I had the same experience with ragweed on the coast. Worked mainly outdoors for several years with issue and then one October it just nailed me. It was brutal.

My wife bought Texas Clear and Texas Cedar Fever from HEB. Alternating meds seemed to get her by, with an occasional Benadryl.

I've been using Flonase and Texas Clear+ Cedar Fever Relief for about a week. Also been using a Neti-Pot but inconsistently. Yesterday I just wanted to dig my eyeballs out.

It has kicked my butt every year since 1976 starting about mid DEC until mid FEB, 1 Fexofenadine a day does wonders. For some unknown reason it has not bothered me to date this season

It would tear me up every year after I moved to San Antonio. A few years ago I tried the HEB branded Flonase and Zyrtec. Hasn't been an issue since. Eyes still bug me some, but not nearly as bad. HEB allergy drops do the trick there.

Zyrtec daily

When needed, half dose of kids liquid Benadryl at bed time. Not as much of a hangover from it and normally tamps down the symptoms enough

Nasacort if needed
