Actually importing the VHS would be a great mea culpa for their past behavior.

I, for one, would completely forgive them.

I love Springfield's Saint line of ARs. The Saint Edge is the best out-of-the-box AR I have ever shot.

That is who makes a few of their pistols... You could be on to something.

Ian from Forgotten Weapons did a series on these rifles a while back, I think they were in the running for the new French Military rifle.

I'd like another bullpup option on the market, something priced a little better than the Tavor line.

I'm left eye dominant, what am I supposed to do with that thing?

So am I. Its completely ambidextrous and easy to switch ejection sides. Also has a deflector built into cheek pad for wrong sided shooting.

Its why its one of the few bullpups I'd like to try. Had a Tavor at one point, but I might be in to try one of these

I'd be willing to bet they would import them with the ability to run STANAG mags

They have interchangable mag wells. Been set up to run stanag, g36, and famas mags as well.

IF SA is importing them, theres no way they'd be dumb enough to not have them set up for stanag.

Good luck. These things go for around $2k abroad. I have a Kel-Rec RDB and it's been pretty solid for under $1k.

Yeah, I'm not holding my breath, but it would be a nice surprise.

The make/break for me will be the price. Keep it under $1400 street and I think it will be competitive-ish.

Either way, I do applaud them for going through all the hassle to get them here. Variety in the gun world is nice to have. Also, that Reddit post does claim that this probs won't be the final version. Especially the grip. Lotta import neuterings have to happen apparently and then made right once they get to our shores.

100% agree.

Ya know, after staring at the blown up picture for a bit, I am definitely not hating it. I am not fluid enough to buy one any time soon, but in the future....

Charging handle. Looks ambi too. Common on euro style bullpups.

Texas Plinking Nice Suppression Shooting:

The thing I feared is true. MSRP $2K. I do think it is justified in the hardware selection but going to keep it out of the hands of the mildly to highly curious I think. But STANAG mags are confirmed, which is very nice.

Looks like it has a few peculiarities like a weird bolt release that will take extra getting used to. All in all though, it actually does look slick and chalk this up as another box to maybe one day be checked off on my firearm wish list. Not going to rush to buy one but if one floats around my way used or a stupid holiday sale covers it....meh. I've made worse impulse buys.

Yep, G36 style. Non reciprocating, handle can pivot out to either side. Another nice ambi feature. Tavor you have to pick a side to install the charging handle and it sticks out a lot.

Should end up being right in line with the other bullpups (aug, tavor) street price of 1600 or so then.

I'd love it cheaper but importing, debanning, etc…not surprised.

My big wait and see is accuracy. I can get by a bad trigger, most bullpups have them and I still like Glocks and G3s so bad trigger doesn't dissuade me.

I'm not a first in line buyer but I'll probably pick one up at some point if accuracy and reliability reports seem good.

Yeah... its seeming like it will end up around the Tavor line-up when it hits retail shelves. I was really hoping for something a bit cheaper - oh well.

So to reload you have to grab the back when pulling out then squeeze the nipple after re-inserting.

Group buy?

I'll take 2.

Please tell me where you can find an Aug at 1600 cause I'm either to dumb or cocaine is one heck of a drug. I've seen the lowest at 1838 (1989 with tax)

I'm not going to call you names. But this took me 3 seconds.

I also said "or so". $200 above 1600 would fit in that qualifier IMO.

To be fair, I wasn't considering (I forgot it existed) the NATO version. 42 rnd Waffles or bust!

I'm not an early adapter and had no interest in paying the msrp or more that these things were going for when they first released.

But I found one for sale for $1400. Bought new, put in the safe, never really used.

So at that price I'll jump in and see how I like it. I owned a Tavor (the SAR, not the X95) years ago and sold it to buy other stuff, but this one is interesting/different enough to get me to try a bullpup again.

Picking it up this afternoon.
